Gifty is a With-you Associate, collaborates with Mencap and other grassroots organisations to support people with learning disabilities (LD) through peer support and wellbeing initiatives. Her work focuses on reducing stigma, enhancing mental health, and creating opportunities for connection, learning, and mutual support based on the New Economics Foundations’ 5 ways to wellbeing. Despite societal barriers and limited opportunities, Gifty’s efforts have led to increased confidence and relationship-building among participants, fostering a compassionate and empathetic community.
